Miss Maggie
Miss Maggie came to us as a "Foster" in March of 2017. She had been in the local pound for 8 weeks and was to be euthanized the next day. We work with an incredible animal rescue called SAINT (Saving animals in need together) . Donna, a dear friend of ours and who is the Vice President of SAINT knew we were kinda of looking for another dog. We had to put down our beloved Charlie just a month before. She called me and sent me a picture and asked if we would "Foster" this little one, and of course I said Yes.
Now, we were only going to "Foster" her........ Gus really wasn't sure about another dog , but I was able to convince him that we could just foster and we would be helping a dog that needed to find a forever home.
So Donna brought "Maggie" to my office. She had been found roaming the streets and you could tell she had been used for breeding. They figured she was about 7 1/2 years old and a mix of Chihuahua and Pug , we call her a "CHUG"
I took her home and she bonded with Gus right away and stole both of our hearts! Just about a week of having her, Donna told me to have her ready for an adoption event that weekend. I looked at Gus and Said "We cant give her up now" (big puppy dog teary eyes were involved ) LOL. He finally caved and said we could keep her!! So we are now known as ""Foster fails" that sounds bad, but its really a good thing!! LOL
Our dear friend Donna is no longer with SAINT. There is another great organization in the area called For the Luv of Paws and they have an awesome rescue that can really use donations if you are able. www.fortheluvofpaws.org
